Fly to Rio de Janeiro where upon arrival you will be met at the airport and taken to your hotel. Flights to Rio from Europe generally arrive either in the early morning or late in the evening. The remainder of the day will be free for you to relax.

Superbly positioned overlooking the sea smack in the heart of Avenida Atlantica on Copacabana beach, this glamorous landmark in Rio has welcomed the rich and famous since 1923. The magnificent pool, with its adjacent super-cool Bar do Copa, are where Brazil’s style setters gather to soak up the sun. The hotel’s restaurants are also destinations in themselves, whether for great local dishes or fine Italian dining in the Cipriani Restaurant. There are 4 room types ranging from Superior cityview rooms, deluxe ocean view rooms, Avenue Cityview suites and Ocean pool view suites. If you’re a celebrity visiting Rio, then there’s a fair chance you are staying at the Copacabana Palace.
This morning you will be taken on a private tour to Corcovado, the mountain on top of which sits the iconic statue of Christ the Redeemer looking out over Rio and towards the bay. On a clear day the views from the top are nothing short of sensational.
You will continue on to Santa Teresa, an artistic quarter of the city and at the end of the tour you will be returned to your hotel for the afternoon.
This morning depart on a private half day tour of one of Rio’s iconic landmarks, Sugar Loaf Mountain with an English speaking guide. There are fabulous views of the beaches, the bay and the city from the top and usually a few capuchin monkeys playing in the trees.
After breakfast a private transfer will take you to the airport for a flight to the town of Foz do Iguassu, the gateway to the most impressive waterfalls in the world. You will be met upon arrival and transferred to your hotel for the night.
The only hotel located within the Brazilian side of Iguassu National Park, the Belmond Hotel das Cataratas enjoys an unrivalled location just a short stroll from the sensational Iguassu waterfalls. Guests enjoy exclusive access to this magnificent sight in the evening and at dawn, when the park is closed to other visitors. The hotel is a beautiful example of a Portuguese-colonial residence, surrounded by tropical gardens. After breakfast you will be met by your guide for a private tour of the falls from the Argentinian side which offers a completely different view of the falls. Once in the national park there are two ecological trains which are perfect to take you around the parks attractions taking you eventually to the Devils Throat Station for the best view of the falls.
If you really want to get close to the falls then board the La Gran Aventura boat and get to the base of the falls and feel their incredible force.
An early morning flight takes you the length of the country and into the heart of the Amazon to the city of Manaus for a 4 night stay amidst the surrounding jungle. On arrival to Manaus you will be transferred to a truly amazing lodge in the heart of the Amazon to experience this wonderful environment. On arrival at the lodge there will be welcome drinks before dinner followed by a night time excursion along the river spotting for alligators and caiman.
Set some 180 kms away from Manaus on the banks of the Rio Negro, the Amazon’s main tributary, the Anavilhanas Lodge offers a real slice of luxury amidst an incredibly tranquil setting. The next few days give you the opportunity to really get to know the Amazon. There will be a few early starts as you head out to explore the jungle on foot, visit the local communities and see the incredibly playful pink river dolphins. You will try your hand at piranha fishing, learn hunting techniques from the locals with the use of a bow and arrow and paddled down small streams in canoes in search of wildlife. The area is also such an amazing place simply to relax, listen to the neverending birdsong and forget about the world. During this time all your meals are included.
After breakfast you depart from Anavilhanas Lodge and are transported back to Manaus, arriving just after midday. You will be taken to your hotel and enjoy an afternoon tour of the city with an English speaking guide. The evening will be free for you to relax on your final night in Brazil.
Following a private transfer to the airport, today you will wave goodbye to Brazil and board a flight back to the UK after what will have been an unforgettable Brazil holiday.
