Casa Cairuçu is a beautiful beach house hideaway located just to the south of colonial Paraty and makes a wonderful private property for those looking for seclusion in spectacular surroundings.
This beautiful property adopts its name from its remarkable location inside the Cairuçu Environmental Protection Area. It looks out towards the waters of Paraty Bay and is surrounded by pristine beaches, rainforest and local fishing communities. One of the property’s main appeal is its isolated location with no roads or cars to disturb the beautiful views and the property is accessed by boat.
Inside the house are three double en suite rooms which face the sea plus an additional single room facing the rainforest with a separate bathroom. All rooms have fans and benefit from the sea breeze rather than having the need for air-conditioning. Rooms have been designed to integrate with the locality and use eco-friendly designs such as solar power to heat the showers.
The Anglo-Brazilian owners spend much of the year at the home and you are treated as a guest in their home with abounding hospitality. The maid who comes daily speaks limited English but provides a wonderful breakfast and can also cook for you in the evening should it be required. There are no restaurants or shops close by however local boatmen can take you to Paraty or to restaurants along the coast and a pre-arrival shopping service is included in the stay, just let the owners know what you require.
The property features satellite TV, CD and DVD players and wireless internet whilst also including a full kitchen and barbeque for those days when you want to stay in.
For exploring, the house provides kayaks for you to use and it is easy to reach nearby beaches and to stop off to swim and snorkel. Paraty is 15 minutes away by boat to the north whereas and in the other direction are the region’s most beautiful beaches.
It’s a perfect destination for families or groups of friends, or for those looking for a special location to celebrate and relax.
